  • How long does 2Checkout store personal data?
     

    • 2Checkout will store your personal data only for the period of time necessary in order to achieve the purposes described to you in the Privacy Policy (available at https://www.2checkout.com/legal/privacy/) and in accordance with our legal obligations, our contractual obligations or industry practices.

      We do not store excessive or irrelevant data, such as data which is out of date. We are also constantly reviewing how long the different categories of data we process are retained.

      The personal information associated with your account with 2Checkout, including any stored payment methods, will be erased from our system and disassociated from order history after 3 years since your last placed order. Information must be retained for this period of time in order to handle a possible chargeback/dispute, issue refunds and allocate payment on order, and defend against potential future legal claims. Certain personal information contained within the order history will continue to be stored for 10 years for legal, regulatory, accounting and taxation purposes.

      After the duration of the processing expires and 2Checkout no longer has legal or legitimate reasons to process your personal data, the data will be deleted in accordance with our procedures, which may involve archiving, made anonymous or destroying it.
